HYDERABAD: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has requested the Government to seek some more time to implement the provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003, that prohibits the State transmission utilities from trading in electricity (purchase and sale). In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Wednesday, the CPI (M) secretary, B. V. Raghavulu, said that it was not too late for the Government to make a plea to the Centre. He suggested that a thorough review of the issue should be done before proceeding further.
