Back Control room for rain problems in DK dist

MANGALORE: The Dakshina Kannada district administration has decided to open a 24-hour control room to tackle rain-related problems during monsoon.

An official release said on Wednesday that the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Mr Aravind Srivastav, held a meeting of district officials in this regard recently.

In case of a calamity during monsoon, members of the public can dial the control room number - 1077 - for help.

He has also asked BSNL and Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom) to activate their control rooms during monsoon.
