Back Power supply to Adilabad hit

HYDERABAD: Power supply to Adilabad town and surrounding areas has been hit following the collapse of 132 KV double circuit Pochampad-Adilabad and Nirmal-Adilabad tower due to heavy gales in the last two days.

The supply could not be restored immediately through the 33KV line from Nirmal to Adilabad via Sarangapur due to the breakdown of the line as a 33 KV pole fell down in the area.

The officials, however, could restore the supply by Wednesday afternoon after reinstating the 33 KV pole. "Efforts are being made to complete the work on 132 KV line by Thursday night, ensuring normal power supply," a Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh press release said.
