Texport launches ACs in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Texport Electronics has launched the AVI range of air-conditioners in Tamil Nadu. The company had already introduced its products in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Texport Electronics is a 50:50 Indo-Swiss joint venture company, promoted by Texport, Kolkata and Sangam Swiss, Switzerland. Basile of Italy has developed the technology for AVI range of air-conditioners. The air-conditioners come in window, split, floor standing, ceiling cassette, duct and portable models in 0.65 tonnes - 3.5 tonne range. The air-conditioners are at present manufactured in China. The company intends to put up a assembling plant in Kolkata, according to Raj Sahai, Managing Director.
