MADURAI: : The Federation of Tamil Nadu State Nursery and Primary School Associations has urged the State Government to exempt nursery and primary schools from obtaining declaration from the District Elementary Education Officer (DEEO) and the Assistant Elementary Education Officer (AEEO) while seeking recognition and its renewal. At a State conference here on Wednesday, the federation said some portions of the new set of codes imposed by the Government were "improbable." Opposing the Government's directive to schools to get approval from the Directorate of School Education in a short span of time, the federation sought sufficient time to get approval and a set of guidelines to get recognition. The members demanded immediate scrutiny of renewal applications and sought extension of the renewal period to five years. They urged the Government to exempt them from registering the rental agreement.
