Bt versions of cotton launched

HYDERABAD: Nuziveedu Seeds Limited has launched Bt versions of its hybrid varieties of cotton -- Bunny and Mallika.

The Bt Bunny and Bt Mallika had got the clearance from the Genetic Engineering Approval Committee (GEAC), the company Managing Director, M. Prabhakar Rao, told reporters here on Wednesday.

He said the company had a tie-up with Mahyco-Monsanto for using Bt technology in the new varieties.
