Applications invited for supplementary exams

CHENNAI: Applications are invited from candidates willing to appear for the higher secondary special supplementary examination scheduled to be held from June 24 to July 7.

Candidates who appeared for the higher secondary examination March/April 2005 and failed in a maximum of three subjects (including absentees) are eligible to write the examination. They should apply for all subjects in which they failed (maximum of three subjects).

The application forms are available from the schools where the students studied and appeared for the examination and the filled in applications should be submitted at the same school. Private candidates can obtain the forms from the examination centres from where they appeared as private candidates. They should submit the filled in applications at the same centre.

Candidates who appeared under "Thatkal scheme" for the March 2005 examination should obtain the application forms in the following centres: Directorate of Government Examinations, Chennai; Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations; in all Chief Educational Officers' offices and district educational officers offices and; at the office of the Joint Director of Education, Pondicherry. The last date for submitting the filled in applications is May 31, according to the Director of the Government Examinations.
