Back Dubai tourism promo contest concludes

`FAME Summer Dubai Contest,' a joint promotion effort of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM); SOTC - Do It Yourself Holidays; and Fame Multiplexes, has closed with two contestants from the city winning holidays in Dubai.

During the month-long contest, Fame Multiplexes conducted a quiz contest where moviegoers were provided a contest coupon with each ticket they bought. The coupons consisted of a brief write-up on Destination Dubai followed by an easy question. A lucky draw was conducted at the end of the contest to pick out the winners.

An official statement quoting Mr Carl Vaz, Country Manager, DTCM India, said: "Mumbai can look forward to more such events in the near future. Such joint promotional efforts will help build a closer working relationship with our potential consumers and travellers, as well as foster closer ties with our joint promotional programme partners.

Ms Neelu Singh,Vice-President - SOTC Do It Yourself Holidays, said the contest was successful in increasing visibility and creating top-of-mind recall for Dubai in the right market segment. Fame Multiplexes attracts an affluent audience that has a high disposable income and SOTC has been able to capture a database of potential travellers through this association."
