Hyderabad , June 3

USINTERNETWORKING Inc, an application service provider (ASP), has sewn up plans to expand its Indian operations based out of Hyderabad and Bangalore.

The company has moved to a new facility in Hyderabad after it recently concluded its agreement with Intelligroup, for Build Operate and Transfer (BoT) model of its centre in India.

The Director of USinternetworking (USi), Mr Bala Vasireddi, told Business Line that the company employed about 200 people in both the locations in India. The strength will be increased.

"While Hyderabad operations commenced recently on our own, the Bangalore centre was part of the strategic acquisition USi made late last year. Through the acquisition of Appshop, we have added both the Bangalore development centre as also its resources," Mr Bala said.

USi has three data farms and supports its clients across the globe through its ASP offering across 30 countries including the US. Typically, a service provider proactively helps the company that outsources its IT and helps in being competitive without bothering about upgrades. This is something they benefit in the long run, Mr Bala said.
