Lateral entry scheme to be in force this year also

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Lateral entry scheme meant for providing an opportunity for diploma-holders to improve their academic qualification by securing a degree in engineering will be in force in the new academic year as well.

The entrance test for admission to second year (third semester) in different branches of the B.Tech. course in the engineering colleges in Kerala under the lateral entry scheme is to be held on July 9. The LBS Centre for Science and Technology, a State Government undertaking, has been entrusted with the job of conducting the test. Application forms will be issued from the units of the LBS Centre in different districts from June 10 onwards. June 20 is the last date for submitting applications.
