Tata Tele launches own brand mobile handset

NEW DELHI: Tata Teleservices on Thursday launched its own brand handset priced at Rs. 1,999.

Using the new handset `Indicom Gem,' consumers can go mobile at an effective cost of Rs. 499 — as they would get a free TruePaid connection and free talk time worth Rs. 1,500 against a payment of Rs. 1,999 for the handset, Tata Teleservices President (north), Naresh Malhan said. He said the offer was for a limited period and the free talk time would apply for local calls made to other Tata Indicom mobiles.
