Clinic attacked

Some people attacked a clinic at Warasiguda following the death of a mason, Yellaiah, 40, while undergoing treatment there on Thursday night. The victim, a resident of Vadderabasti, was brought to Tirumala Poly Clinic at about 8.30 p.m. when he complained of stomach pain. The duty doctor administered an injection and after some time the patient died.

Cheating charge

A junior artiste in Telugu films, P. Kalyani, on Thursday charged that lyricist, K. Shyam Kumar, had cheated her by refusing to marry her after having an affair for three years. She said she had become pregnant, but Kumar had got it aborted.

Doubts over

murder motive

The Amberpet police suspect that killers of housewife, Vittal Ratnam of Saibabanagar, were familiar to her. The victim was found unconscious with bleeding injuries on her head in the house around 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday. Though police suspected murder for gain, some cash and jewellery were found in the house, indicating that the motive could be different.
