Briefcase with cash stolen

An RTC passenger lost Rs. 70,000 when his briefcase was stolen from a bus at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station on Thursday. A lecturer, Ramakrishnaiah, of Prakasam district, boarded a bus to reach his native place. He got down to buy a water bottle after keeping the briefcase on the seat. On return, he found the briefcase stolen.

Falls under bus, dies

An unidentified man, aged 65, was killed when he fell down while trying to board an RTC bus and came under its rear wheels at Grammar School in Abids on Thursday.

Succumbs to burns

An eight-year-old girl, Ch. Manisha, who reportedly set herself afire on Tuesday, succumbed to burns while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital on Wednesday.

Dies while undergoing treatment

A five-year-old girl, Hasina, who fell down from the staircase in her house on Tuesday, succumbed to her injuries on Thursday while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital. A resident of Nagul Chinta in Lal Darwaza locality, the girl was alone in the house when the mishap occurred, the Moghalpura police said.

Cash bag stolen

Unidentified persons took away the cash bag containing Rs. 27,000 from a woman when she took her son for treatment to Care Hospital, MJ Market branch, on Wednesday. A native of Medak district, the woman was sitting in the gallery along with her son, Arvind. She kept the bag on the seat and took Arvind to the washbasin. On return, she found the cash bag stolen.
