Back Clarification

With regard to the report titled `Sundram Fasteners Q4 net at Rs 18.3 cr' published in these columns on July 1, Sundram Fasteners has clarified that the results for the quarter ended March 31, 2004, included the results of TVS Autolec Ltd for the (full) year 2003-04. The results for the same quarter of last year takes into account the performance of the `Autolec division' only for that quarter. Hence, the figures for the two quarters are not comparable (as has been pointed out in a footnote to the statement of results).
