Back APSRTC strike today Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: With the talks between the Joint Action Committee representing the employees of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) and the State Government making no headway on Sunday, the former has decided to strike work. The JAC had given a notice to strike work 38 days ago and had several rounds of negotiations between the representatives of the Government. However, with a stalemate in the ongoing discussions following failure of talks with the Cabinet sub-committee comprising ministers, Mr S. Santhosh Reddy (Transport) and two others, they have decided to strike work from 3 A.M. on July 4 (Monday.) The demand relates to the Government taking over of Rs 1,350-crore loan burden of various financial institutions and review of wages.
