Back Income tax help centre

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Income-Tax Department has opened a help centre here in accordance with the announcement made by the Finance Minister in Parliament.

The Thiruvananthapuram Chamber of Commerce, the local chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) and the Lions Club-Cotton Hill are co-sponsors of the help centre.

The Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Thiruvananthapuram, Mr L. Kuriakose, presided over the inaugural function. Also present were Mr S. Thanu Pillai, Secretary, Chamber of Commerce; Mr K. Suresh, Chairman, ICAI Chapter; Mr G. Surendran, Lions Club Governor; and Mr P.J. Thomas Kutty, Commissioner of Income Tax.
