Back Shreya Life Sciences' Aurangabad facility goes on stream Our Bureau
Mumbai , July 18 SHREYA Life Sciences Pvt Ltd has commissioned its Rs 35-crore export-oriented formulations unit at Aurangabad. In line with the company's plans to enter Europe and the US, the new facility has been has been built to meet US regulatory specifications, a note from the company said. The facility has a capacity to manufacture 200 million tablets and 10 million capsules per month. Shreya is also constructing another plant at Roorkee in Uttaranchal at a cost of Rs 55 crore. This plant will manufacture tablets, capsules, liquid and injectibles for both domestic and export markets. Further, a group company - Shreya Biotech Pvt Ltd - is setting up a plant in Pune for the manufacture of r-human insulin, hepatitis-B vaccine, growth hormones and interferons in collaboration with Sci Tech of USA and SciGen of Singapore. Shreya Life Sciences is a Rs 225-crore company with exports contributing nearly Rs 100 crore. It is the Indian affiliate of the Russia-based pharmaceutical marketing group Shreya Corporation. Shreya Corporation, headquartered in Moscow, is the third largest pharmaceutical marketing and distribution company in the Russian Federation. It distributes 4,500 products of over 200 global pharmaceutical companies and has partnerships with Aventis, Sanofi, Pliva, Pfizer, BMS, Merck, GSK, Ranbaxy, Unique and Dr Reddy's, the note said.
