Cool cottons from Gujarat's Kutch and Banaskantha districts are on display at an exhibition. These clothes are made by craftspersons affected by the quake and 65 per cent of the proceeds will go directly to them. SEWA - Self Employed Women's Association's Trade Facilitation Centre has organised the exhibition at C.P. Art Centre in Alwarpet. Open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. till July 23, there are a wide range of salwar kurtas, silk bandhni sarees, hand-embroidered bags, pouches, bedspreads, cushion and pillow covers in a refreshing range of colours. Ruchi Tavkar of SEWA said 15,000 women artisans owned the company from the two districts. "When they were affected by the quake, we sought to use their sense of good clothing styles for providing an opportunity to earn money." Swahilya
