2,479 cases of illegal parking

CHENNAI: : The traffic police have booked 2,479 cases of unauthorised parking in the past one week.

The weeklong drive was initiated to facilitate better space for pedestrians in shopping areas and markets. Unauthorised parking will be monitored by Traffic Joint Commissioner K.C. Mahali and Traffic Deputy Commissioners M. Ravi (North Chennai) and Maheshkumar Agarwal (South Chennai), says a release.
