Back Aurobindo gets European approval for APIs

AUROBINDO Pharma Ltd has announced that it has been granted the Certificate of Suitability (CoS) of monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines (EDQM) for its active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) - domperidone and domperidone maleate.

Domperidone is a commonly used product in gastrointestinal disorders like vomiting.

The company said it has started receiving approvals to penetrate the European market. It has filed several drug master files (DMFs), CoSs and formulation dossiers with various applicable authorities in Europe for its product range.

With the latest endorsement of EDQM, the company said it would be able to sell the products in the whole of Europe.

The stock is currently hovering at Rs 350 on both BSE and NSE.
