`Best IAS Probationer'

BANGALORE: Vijayalakshmi Bidari, a topper in the Civil Services Examination in 2001, has been adjudged the "Best IAS Probationer" of the 2001 IAS batch.

Ms. Bidari received an award from the Chief Minister of Chattisgarh, Raman Singh, at Lal Bhadhur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussorrie on Thursday.

Ms. Bidari at present is serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad in Maharashtra.

Ms. Bidari is the daughter of Shankar Bidari, Inspector General of Police (Central).
