Back Bodywear expo in Chennai

CHENNAI: The second all-India bodywear meet and exhibition is being held at the Chennai Trade Centre from July 22 to 24. The meet was held in Kolkata last year.

Mr Sanjay Manocha, Director, Niksan Info Media Ltd, the company that is organising the exhibition, said that this event would help manufacturers from the North gain a larger share of the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka markets.

He said that the lingerie market in India was about Rs 2,000 crore with about 20 per cent being in organised sector. There are about 150 brands in India, with the premium end of the market witnessing a 20 per cent growth.

Bodycare International will launch its new collection and designs at this exhibition. Naidu Hall, a well-known Chennai brand, will introduce a new range of sari blouses and innerwear. Lady Care will launch a new brand "Lango."
