MADURAI: The Madurai district administration and District Rural Development Agency have proposed to implement a total sanitation campaign at an outlay of Rs.14 crores.

According to the Collector, D. Raajendiran, the administration had sought an enhanced allocation from the Government to carry out the campaign in the district with renewed vigour. Accordingly, proposals were prepared to construct 1,53,151 individual toilets, 984 toilets in schools and sanitary complexes.
