BANGALORE: The Tumkur Lokayukta police on Tuesday caught a revenue inspector for allegedly accepting Rs. 1,300 as bribe for releasing a cheque related to land acquisition. According to a press release, Mallikarjun, the revenue inspector, had demanded Rs. 1,300 from 50-year-old K.B. Mahalingappa for issuing a cheque of Rs. 53,000. The accused was arrested by the Tumkur Lokayukta police and remanded in judicial custody.
