Fighting for a parking slot

IT HAD to happen: fighting for parking space. Early this week, it was between a bureaucrat and a private citizen over who had the right to scarce parking space near the Church Street-Museum Road intersection, one of the few places in the central business district where some space is to be found now. According to those who saw the arguments, the bureaucrat said cars with the "government tag" have priority for parking space on any public road.
