Back Vascular Concepts plans Europe foray

NEW DELHI:Stent manufacturer Vascular Concepts is planning to enter the European market with its `Pronova' brand of drug-coated stents.

Mr Swaminathan Jayaraman, Managing Director, said, "The company is in the final stages of setting up a distribution network in various European countries. The distribution would be more of a trade arrangement." He, however, said it is too early to talk about the expected market share in the estimated $1-billion stent market in Europe. In India, the total market for drug coated stents is Rs 125 crore and Vascular has a 35 per cent share.
