MetroPlus Theatre Festival opens today

CHENNAI: After harried rehearsals and frantic hammering at the sets; hectic ticket sales and breathless decisions, the big day is finally here. The MetroPlus Theatre Festival opens on Friday with `A Heap of Broken Images' by Rangashankara.

Ticket sales have been rapid for all shows and the season tickets are completely sold out. However, if you have just slouched off your couch, and discovered that you truly, madly, deeply desire to watch a couple of the plays, don't worry too much. Yet.

Tickets for the individual shows will be available at the venue. For Friday's plays, the counters will open at Music Academy at 6-15 for the 7 p.m. play, and 8-30 for the 9 p.m. play.
