THE National Knowledge Commission Chairman, Dr Sam Pitroda, has called upon intellectuals to find new applications of knowledge.

"Today we must look for new methods of knowledge, new society, new sources of knowledge and then only we can produce brilliant brains and knowledge people who can not only bring good name and face for the country but can also create history in the world," he said, speaking at the Darbari Seth Memorial Lecture Series on Friday.

He outlined five key dimensions of knowledge opportunities that included access, knowledge concept, creation of knowledge, application of knowledge sources and knowledge services.

Knowledge dimensions are paving the way for easy access to various innovations in science and technology. Now, children of the poor and downtrodden are able to access Internet and broadband facilities and can enrich their knowledge, Dr Pitroda said.
