Remembering heroes

PATRIOTIC FERVOUR reaches its peak as August 15 nears. This Independence Day will see more events saluting the spirit of the occasion.

An event promoted by a biscuit company will feature violin maestro L. Subramaniam and singer Kavita Krishnamurthy.

The event, interestingly, asks you to donate your feet. It's easily explained — you join the "Walk for the Armed Forces" and contribute towards helping injured soldiers back on their feet.

The occasion will also serve to remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
