Back Pharma, biotech conclave to be held in Manipal

MANIPAL AcuNova, a player in biotechnology and clinical research, will host a `CXO Conclave' at Manipal in Udupi district on August 20.

A press release said here on Wednesday that the conclave would focus on the developing trends in pharma and biotechnology market.

The panel— comprising Dr Vijayaraghavan, Director of National Centre for Biological Sciences; Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Chief Executive Officer of Biocon Industries; Mr Harpal Singh, Chairman of Fortis Healthcare; and Mr D.A. Prasanna, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Manipal AcuNova — will examine issues from the perspectives of the industry, government and research, it said.

Quoting Mr Prasanna, the release said that the conclave is an effort to bring together some of the best minds in the industry and collectively work towards accelerating the growth and success of the biotechnology sector.
