Back SpiceJet to offer 9,999 seats for Rs 999

SPICEJET, the low-cost carrier, will kick-start reservations for the period October 31, 2005, through January 31, 2006, at 9 a.m. on August 26.

Through this initiative for the holiday season, SpiceJet will make 9,999 seats available as "Red Hot Specials" for Rs 999, per flight segment on the six sectors that the airline flies. These fares will only be accessible on the Internet, an official statement said.

SpiceJet operates in the Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Pune and Bangalore markets, utilising Boeing 737-800 aircrafts in an all-economy configuration of 189 seats.

The statement, quoting the Chief Executive Office, Mr Winders, said, "The response to SpiceJet's fares and service quality has been remarkable".
