Bangladesh team arrives

COLOMBO: A 15-man Bangladesh squad, led by Habibul Bashar, arrived here on Thursday to play two Tests and three One-Day Internationals against Sri Lanka during a month-long tour.

Bangladesh coach Dav Whatmore said his team was capable of beating the former champion.

The schedule: Aug. 28: One-day practice match, Moratuwa; Aug. 31: First one-dayer, Sinhalese SC, Colombo; Sept. 2: Second one-dayer, Premadasa stadium, Colombo; Sept. 4: Third one-dayer, Premadasa stadium; Sept. 7-9: Practice match, Colts ground, Colombo; Sept. 12-16: First Test, Premadasa stadium; Sept. 20-24: Second Test, Saravanamuttu stadium, Colombo. — AFP
