Back Supplement to Outcome Budget in a few months

IN a bid to provide a clearer picture about the real situation of the economy, the Government plans to present a supplement to the Outcome Budget within the next few months. The Outcome Budget was placed in Parliament on Wednesday.

The supplement would be tentatively presented around October or November this year, sources told Business Line.

"The Outcome Budget was a demand made by the MPs to the Finance Minister. The MPs said that once the Central Budget is over, they are in the dark till the next Budget. But it is necessary for them to have more details about ground realities during the course of the year. So, the Outcome Budget was presented," said the Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Mr Santosh Mohan Dev.

"All the Ministries have been asked to prepare detailed reports and come up with the latest status report about all the projects under them. We are readying them and will give them to the Finance Ministry when they ask for it," he added.
