Back Meet on algorithms at IIITM-K

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: About 150 participants from various colleges in Kerala and Tamil Nadu attended a workshop on `Analysis and Design of Algorithms' organised by the Education Grid Resource Centre of the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management - Kerala (IIITM-K).

Prof C. Pandu Rangan, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT-Madras, was the key resource person for the workshop conducted at Technopark here on Friday and Saturday. It was co-hosted by Kerala Section of the IEEE - Computer Society.

This was a follow-up on a similar workshop organised in April this year targeted at teachers, researchers and members from the industries interested in algorithms, said Ms Anjana Gopinath, an IIITM-K spokesperson. The objective was to provide core concepts and paradigms of advanced topics in algorithms design.
