Back Liver transplant at Hyderabad hospital

HYDERABAD: A six-year boy from Combo, Sri Lanka, received a new lease of life with Global Hospitals transplanting a segment of liver from his mother.

The boy has since recovered from end-stage liver disease.

According to a statement from Global Hospital, this is the fifth paediatric liver transplant undertaken at Global Hospitals. Thus far, the hospital has performed 21 liver transplants.
