Back MBT, Azure Solutions implement interconnect system for StarHub

MAHINDRA-British Telecom Ltd (MBT), an IT solutions provider to the telecommunications industry, and Azure Solutions, the revenue-assurance company, have jointly implemented an interconnect system for StarHub, Singapore's info-communications provider.

The system will deliver interconnect billing for StarHub's mobile services, improve flexibility of the settlement process, enhance performance and reduce operational costs.

StarHub operates its own GSM/GPRS network and recently launched its 3G network.

An official communication from the company said that with the launch of the interconnect project at StarHub, it is one of the first for MBT in the BSS space in the last couple of years.

The replacement of the interconnect installation using Azure's product was a first in the Asia Pacific market. MBT has also ensured the smooth migration from its legacy system by processing all its backlog data.
