The entry point of Kumbalanghi village has been spruced up to welcome tourists. This idyllic village on the outskirts of Ernakulam and Aranmula, which is famous for its brass mirrors, are the two villages selected from Kerala by the Union Government for its rural tourism development project. As many as 55 villages across the country will get Rs 50 lakh each under a UNDP scheme to improve infrastructure.
