Back Meet on Dr J.J. Irani report

HYDERABAD: The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fapcci) is organising a conference on the Dr J.J. Irani report on Company law here on Saturday.

The report, which was made public in May, recommended changes to the existing law, simplifying the provisions. Experts would discuss on issues such as board governance, practice, audit, accounts and its standards, merger, amalgamation and reconstruction and liquidation.

Dr Irani, the architect of the report, himself would address the gathering.

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India partnered with FAPCCI to organise the conference, a press release said.
