Back `Textile industry needs to upgrade technology'

THE training courses offered by the Textile Testing and Development Centre (TTDC) should be utilised better to generate more skilled employees in the region, said the Secretary, Union Ministry of Textiles, Mr R. Poornalingam, while speaking at the first anniversary celebration of the TTDC here.

Stating that Madurai lacked in entrepreneurship unlike Coimbatore, Tirupur and Karur, he stressed that the trend should be reversed.
