Solatium announced

CHENNAI: The Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, on Saturday announced a solatium of Rs. 50,000 to Raju, who lost vision in one of his eyes, after an electrical post fell on him at Anna Nagar last week.

An official release said on hearing about the loss of vision and injuries suffered by Mr. Raju, the Chief Minister wished him speedy recovery and also ordered that the solatium should be given to him from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund, the release added.

Notebooks distributed
