Back Workshop on beating heart bypass surgery in Hyderabad hospital

THE two-day joint international cardiac surgery and cardiology conference and workshop has started at the Care Hospital here on Sunday.

Addressing newspersons, the Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Dr Prateek Bhatnagar, said the meeting was aimed at discussing advantages of beating heart surgery with total arterial revascularisation in bypass surgery.

Leading cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from across the country were participating in the mega event. The conference has operating sessions conducted by internationally renowned experts in bypass surgery - Dr Alistair Royse from Melbourne, Dr S. Bhattacharya from Mumbai and Dr Prateek Bhatnagar from Hyderabad.

According to Dr Bhatnagar, total arterial revascularisation technique of bypass surgery provides a longer life to the patient.
