Fight between couple leads to man's death

BANGALORE: Following a domestic quarrel, a woman allegedly murdered her husband at their house in Kadugondanahalli police station limits on Wednesday.

The incident came to light on Thursday.

The police gave the victim's name as P. Pillai (37), a labourer and a resident of BDS Layout in Hegde Nagar.

Pillai's wife, Vanila, allegedly hit him on the head with an iron pipe and strangled him to death, the police said.

On Thursday, she told her neighbours that her husband had committed suicide by hanging himself to death, the police said.

The couple have three children. The Kadugondanahalli police have registered a case.

Dies in accident

J. George (19), a student of Holy Trinity Ashram, died after he rammed his motorcycle against a stationary vehicle on Agara Road, off 25th BMTC bus depot, around 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday.

George's friend, who was riding pillion, has been admitted to hospital with injuries. The Adugodi traffic police have registered a case.

Student missing

A SSLC student of Vijaya High School in Jayanagar has gone missing since September 13. According to the police, G. Yeshwanth (15) left home for tuition around 6.30 a.m. on that day.
