Back AP gold festival to begin on Oct 10

THE Art of Jewellery, in association with World Gold Council, is set to host Andhra Pradesh Gold Festival 2005, an exclusive 50-day jewellery shopping festival.

The festival is organised on the lines of the Dubai Shopping Festival wherein five kilo gold will be given away as prizes. This is supported by the Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh and co-sponsored by the ICICI Bank and AP Gems Park. The festival will be held between October 10 and November 30 and will involve 500 big and small jewellers.

The Vice-President of World Gold Council, Mr K. Shivaram, said Andhra Pradesh Gold festival gives an excellent opportunity to bring the entire jewellery The Chief Editor of the Art and Jewellery, Mr Sumesh Wadhera, said: "recently, we organised the very successful Karnataka Gold Festival 2005 and we would like to replicate the sale in Andhra Pradesh. We are sure that the trade will grow by 30 to 40 per cent in sales during the festive period."
