Back Trend Micro upgrades office

COIMBATORE: Having upgraded its India liaison office to a 100 per cent subsidiary of Trend Micro, the new entity - Trend Micro India Private Ltd - has set certain ambitious targets.

The company, besides aiming to achieve the leadership position in the anti virus space by end 2005, also intends to double its headcount and expand India operations.

Trend Micro (India) is confident of achieving the revenue target of Rs 100 crore next year. It posted a 122 per cent growth in 2004-05.

Trend Micro (India)'s Country Manager Mr. Niraj Kaushik told Business Line that the company was bullish about India and was committed to investing in manpower and infrastructure. "By end of 2007, we plan to more than double our current headcount of 20 professionals. The market is looking very upbeat and we are firmly poised to becoming number one in the anti-virus space by 2005 end."
