PUNE: IBM has chosen Pune to house the first IBM Lotus technical support centre to cater to Asia Pacific clients. Housed in the IBM India Software Lab in Pune, the centre will extend support services on workplace portal and collaboration software (WLPC) to its Asia Pacific clients, said Mr Doug Cox, Vice-President, WLPC. Mr Cox said the centre would provide 24x5 customer support with page-out options on weekends. The core team in Pune will handle live calls as well as electronic service reports initially for Lotus Notes Domino Client and Server and Lotus Workplace Web Content Manager products - the middleware segment.
