Back Visaka Ind gets eco clearance for cement sheets project

VISAKA Industries Ltd (VIL) has announced that it has obtained the necessary environmental clearance from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests for the proposed cement sheets project.

The company is currently setting up a corrugated fibre cement sheets unit at Rae Baraeli in Uttar Pradesh.

In a press release here, the company said the project is expected to commence production in January next year. The project is being set up at an investment of around Rs 30 crore with a capacity of 1,20,000 tonnes per annum. The proposed unit will provide employment to about 400 people directly and indirectly in the surrounding areas of Rae Baraeli, the release said.
