Rudraksha wins feature

HYDERABAD: Rudraksha (Ch.K. Chary up) won the Raja Mehboob Karan Memorial Cup, the feature event of the races here on Monday. The winner is owned by Mr. K.R.K. Raju and Mr. G. Lakshmi Prasad, and trained by Raju.

Fines & suspensions

In the Blue Ice Plate, jockey N. Rawal (Just Stunning) was fined Rs. 1,000 for cutting across the field 100m after the start, crowding the runners on his inside the worst to be affected was Secret Archives (G. Sandeep).

In the Raja Mehboob Karan Memorial Cup, jockey J.H. Christopher (Commando Chief) was fined Rs. 500 for shifting in 100m after the start forcing in Manchester Babe (B. Madhu Kumar) who in turn shifted in and caused a check to Eyes Right (N.M. Sequeira).

In the Regency Cup, jockey M.F. Ali Khan (Splendid Fantasy) was fined Rs. 500 for shifting in 100m after the start causing interference to South Bound (A. Imran Khan).

The Stewards suspended jockey M. Krishna, rider of Riddhi, from riding in races with effect from October 6 to 9, both days inclusive, for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in at about the 1,200m tightening Navrathri (Laxmikanth) and Pancho Pete (Rutherford Alford) who in turn shifted in and caused severe interference to Basha (Aadesh Kumar) resulting in Basha stumbling and imbalancing jockey Aadesh Kumar in the saddle.
