Back Dr Reddy's founding MD dead

HYDERABAD: M.P. Chary, 59, Chairman of the Hyderabad-based Chary group of companies, passed away in the early hours of Monday.

Chary was the founder Managing Director of Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd, where he served for 10 years and later as Vice-Chairman for two years, according to a press release.

Bereaved by the sudden death of Chary, the Dr Reddy's Group Chairman, Dr K. Anji Reddy, said: "During his tenure at Dr Reddy's, Mr Chary has been instrumental in building a robust pipeline of API products and played a major role in building finished dosages business both in India and Russia."
