Back Kerala Govt's proposal for veterinary varsity

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has set up an expert committee to explore the possibilities of setting up a veterinary university in the State.

To be headed by Dr Vijay Paul Sharma of the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad, the committee will explore the State's dairy potential and assess the veterinary educational facilities and fodder availability.

This is a follow-up to the meeting the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, had with the Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board at Anand recently, an official spokesman said here.
