CHANDIGARH: Suspended Haryana Inspector General of Police R. K. Sharma, who is the prime accused in the murder of journalist Shivani Bhatnagar, was brought to Mohali from Delhi for treatment at a private hospital there. Hospital sources said that Sharma, who has been in prison for over three years, was being treated by a neurologist for a spinal ailment. Sharma, under the custody of as many as 11 Delhi policemen, is likely to be operated upon for his ailment over the weekend. The Delhi High Court on Friday allowed Sharma to be taken to Mohali in Punjab under police custody for an operation of a spinal ailment. PTI
